“Experiences and innovations in antiseptic and NPWT treatment within Europe” Workshop

On 11 April – 13 April 2022, an educational workshop: “Experiences and innovations in antiseptic and NPWT treatment within Europe” was held at the Admiral Botel in Prague.

The educational event and workshop was organized by Promedica – Wound Care Division in collaboration with Smith&Nephew. Nurse Dr. Joan-Enric Torra i Bou from Catalonia was the expert guarantor of the workshop and the main speaker. The whole event was interpreted into Czech by Mgr. Jana Bodláková.

During the three days, almost 100 clients from the ranks of doctors and nurses were introduced to new findings in the field of wound care, new materials and procedures were presented according to the recommendations of EPUAP and EWMA. The focus was on decubitus, diabetic foot and prevention of decubitus. There was great interest in negative pressure therapy, where new competitive devices for single and repeated use were presented.

We were very pleased with the large turnout and hope that the participants will benefit from the newly acquired information.
