National Congress of the Czech Society for Wound Healing Pardubice 2024

31. 1. 2024

The XXII National Congress with International Participation – Interdisciplinary Cooperation in the Treatment of Wounds and Skin Defects was held from 18 January to 19 January 2024.

The congress was held at the University of Pardubice, under the auspices of the Czech Society for Wound Care, in cooperation with the Faculty of Medical Studies of the University of Pardubice and Pardubice Hospital, Hospital of Pardubice Region a.s. The Congress was held under the auspices of the Rector of the University of Pardubice and the Governor of the Pardubice Region.

The congress was intended for medical practitioners, surgeons, dermatologists, geriatricians, diabetologists, internists and doctors of other disciplines involved in wound care. It was also for nurses from outpatient and inpatient facilities as well as home care.

A prominent figure at this year’s event was EWMA President Kirsi Isoherranen, who contributed a lecture in the field of atypical wound management.

The conference was very successful in terms of our business objectives. It was attended by more than 1,000 participants who were experts in wound treatment and healing. We had the opportunity to make many new contacts and create new business opportunities. At the same time, we maintained the relationships we had already established, which enabled us to strengthen our position in the market.

This year, a little unconventionally, the concept of booth presentation was chosen. Congress participants could meet us at the booth, which was designed in a café style. Settling into the seats, offering good snacks and good drinks created an unforgettable environment for business meetings. Presentations of Smith and Nephew wound care and vacuum therapy materials were made during the enjoyable gourmet experience and conversations. This presentation concept received very positive feedback from the congress participants.

We look forward to further opportunities to present our products and services at similar events and believe that our participation in these congresses will contribute to the continued growth and success of our division.
