ORL 2024, Bratislava

From 18th to 20th September 2024, the 10th Czech-Slovak Congress of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, the 85th Congress of the Czech Society of Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of the Czech Academy of Sciences and the 70th Congress of the Slovak Society for Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery, as well as the 4th meeting of the Society for Thyroid and Parathyroid Surgery took place at the Crowne Plaza Congress Hotel in Bratislava.

The congress was organized by the Department of Otolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine and University of Medical Sciences in Bratislava under the leadership of doc. Miroslav Tedla, PhD, MPH.

The professional programme of this year’s congress included all areas of otorhinolaryngology. Traditionally, there was also a rich section of free communications, panels of poster presentations and instructional courses. On Friday, with the support of Promedica, the instructional course “The use of plasma coblation in the treatment of adenoid vegetation and palatal tonsils” was held by MUDr. Michal Ševčík (Třinec Hospital), MUDr. Michal Jurovčík (Motol Hospital Prague) and prim. MUDr. Tomáš Fořt ( FortMedica s.r.o., Prague).

The ENT Division and the Division of Medical Technologies participated in the congress. At our stand we presented various technologie from the division´s portfolios. Smith&Nephew devices, plasma coblation device, examination units, chairs and EUROCLINIC diagnostic devices for ENT workplaces, specialized navigation system of Collin Medical manufacturer for sinus surgery and otological procedures and Robotol otological surgical robotic system.

We have met with ENT specialists from both the Czech Republic and abroad and we are pleased that our cooperation with customers is positively perceived.
