Successful participation at DIA events in Ostrava

Last week, two traditional events were held in Ostrava, which were connected by the disease DM or diabetes mellitus, in Czech diabetes.

Endocrinology in a Nutshell Ostrava 2024

The first of the events that the Division of Diabetology participated in was the seminar Endocrinology in a Nutshell Ostrava 2024, the subject of which was to bring together more closely interdisciplinary cooperation among specialists dealing with the treatment of endocrinological diseases. This year’s event is a continuation of the several meetings of young endocrinologists in solving various case studies.

The meeting of endocrinologists and diabetologists in the Qality Hotel in Ostrava took place on October 3, 2024 with the participation of about 50 doctors and 12 partners. We are pleased to have been invited as the only technology company supplying a glucose monitoring system for patients with diabetes. In the case studies, these patients and the importance of glycemic monitoring in their treatment were mentioned several times. The need for systemic glycaemic monitoring was also mentioned several times in the lectures on foot care of diabetic patients during XV. Conference of Healthcare Professionals

Diabetes and Podiatry Day 2024

Another event was the Diabetology and Podiatry Day 2024, which took place on Saturday 5 October at the Harmony Club Hotel Ostrava. The packed programme featured a number of top experts in the fields of diabetes, endocrinology, orthopaedics, and podiatry dealing with wound care and orthotics.

The organizer was the patient organization Hope for Everyone, z. s., which is a founding member of the Alliance of Patients with Diabetes of the Czech Republic, with which our company has long cooperated, especially in the field of education of self-monitoring of glycemia. Our participation in this meeting was free of charge.
