XIII.Congress of perioperative nurses

The 18th annual congress of perioperative nurses was held on 31 May-1 June 2024, in which the OP team participated for the second time. The venue and patronage of this congress was taken over by KN Liberec. The congress itself took place in the historic Grand Hotel Zlatý lev. These premises further enhanced the importance and work of such professionals as perioperative nurses undoubtedly are.

One hundred participants from all over the Czech Republic were registered.

The main topics of the seminar were communication skills and etiquette in perioperative care, management, quality indicators and aseptic conditions in the operating room.

The speakers included distinguished experts from hospitals across the Czech Republic. The programme of lectures was very varied – from safety, cleanliness in the operating theatre, mission and work of nurses in comparison with other European hospitals, to patient anatomy and transplantation.

Among the invited and appreciated guests were Mgr. Marie Fryaufová, Director of Nursing Care , Head Nurse of Cos Hospital Liberec, MUDr. Jaroslav Jedlička, Head of COS KN Liberec, Mgr. Lenka Kalábová, Ph.D, LL.M vice-president of the CAS and others ..

The congress was accompanied by a social evening on Friday, held in the Grandhotel, which was held in a pleasant spirit with music, dancing, good food and drink.

The congress is very popular among the exhibitors and therefore very beneficial for the perioperative nurses and us exhibitors. On behalf of the OP division we exhibited Asanus instruments, Ansell gloves, drapes, OR shoes and Integuseal at the congress.
