XXII. Young Surgeon´s days

From 20 to 21 June 2024, the division of Medical technologies together with the division of Wound care participated in the 22nd Annual Congress of the Days of Young Surgeons of Prof. Stanislav Čárský, MD, DrSc., which was held in the pleasant surroundings of the Jezerka Hotel in the heart of the Iron Mountains near Seč u Chrudimi and was organized by the Chairman of the Section of Young Surgeons of the Czech Society of Surgeons MUDr. Tomáš Grolich, Ph.D. The professional programme was divided into medical and nursing sections and the main topics were e.g. onco-surgery, sudden abdominal strokes, hepatopancreatobiliary surgery, minimally invasive surgery and others. The Wound care division was there to showcase its portfolio of manufacturer Smith+Nephew.

On behalf of the Medical technologies division, we presented the premium FUJIFILM Arietta 850 ultrasound machine, MedApp holographic glasses for patient data visualization and last but not least the CMR Versius robotic operating system. We held a competition for young surgeons to operate the robotic system, which attracted considerable attention. The competition was announced during the professional program in the main hall, over 40 surgeons participated and the best of them took home interesting prizes. As a result, we were able to significantly raise awareness not only of the Versius robotic system, but also of other cutting-edge technologies, and to make a number of important new contacts.
